Travelling to Nepal? You Can Now Carry ₹200 & ₹500 Indian Notes

Nepal Now Allows ₹200 & ₹500 Indian Notes for Travellers

Good news for Indian tourists! Nepal has officially allowed Indian travellers to carry and use ₹200 and ₹500 currency notes (issued after 9 November 2016) while travelling to Nepal. The Nepal Rastra Bank has fixed the maximum limit at ₹25,000 per person. This move removes the earlier restriction on these denominations and is expected to make travel and shopping in Nepal much more convenient for Indian visitors. However, travellers visiting remote areas are still advised to carry some ₹100 notes, as they may be more widely accepted there
