Portuguese Church , Dadar
With a history spanning over four centuries, Our Lady of Salvation Church, better known as Portuguese Church was erected by the Portuguese and christened O Igreja da Nossa Senhora da Salvacao. The church has an interesting and symbolic architecture – every element represents specific phases of Jesus Christ’s lifetime.
Architecturally or stylistically, the idea is great expression as well as relaxation. The huge protected place of the baptistery, the primary congregational place, the sacristy and the oratory are interred linked so that the protected sitting and status housing of the cathedral is well over a million individuals. All these places start out to the landscapes and courtyard that act as flood place for still bigger congregations. The Grottos, Programs of the Combination and various other shrines will be in the courtyard. Unlike the beginning Religious chapels, the common pattern in cathedral style was one in which the various components confessional, baptismal typeface, pulpit, a primary ceremony and part altars were congregated in one generic place.
The sacred cross was especially designed in the 1800s. It was designed in the delayed Baroque Colonial style.
