Theatres to open with strict guidelines (SOP) by State Government
Many Cinema Halls / Theatres were closed from March 25rd 2020 due to covid-19 pandemic and a nationwide locked down announced by our Government.
In this 5.0 unlock, our state government have mentioned for opening of Cinema Halls / Theatres with a strict SOP / Guidelines to be followed:
SOP / Guidelines
Temperature checking mandatory at Entry point
Wearing a Mask is mandatory
There must be a distance of 1 seat in between 2 viewers. 50 % capacity allowed.
Air condition temperature to be regulated to more than 23 Degrees Celcius.
More suggestions the supporting staff / theatre management will have to take care for the safety of viewers:-
Viewers must not hurry to enter or exit theatres. They must maintain social distancing at time of entry and exit.
This will hamper the number of shows per day because to maintain social distancing and checking will take time and the management must not hurry up.
Tickets will be sold online with a QR Code. Offline tickets won`t be allowed till the pandemic gets over.
Entry and Exit points to be different. Earlier in single screen it was same, now it has to be different.
Sanitise the seats & Hall regularly.
Earlier because of the lockdown many producers decided to release their films on O.TT platforms like Netflix, Amazon Prime, Disney+Hotstar , Zee 5 & Eros Now.
Few of them choose not to release and are waiting for the theatres to re-open. Few big names like Sooryavanshi, 1983, No Time to Die (Famous Bond Movie) were postponed and will now be released soon.
Government of Maharashtra is yet to announce whether theatres will open or not. We are waiting to hear from them.
We hope this will be a game saver for theatre owner / management and supporting staff.
