– Go for an indo western look : You can add the elements to your traditional lehanga cholis such as you can use crop top with lehanga instead of choli and make it a fusion look.
– Go for different type of lehanga like with pearl work or stone work done lehanga instead of traditional mirror work lehanga and choli. you can use bandhani or leheriya dupatta in contrast colour so that it will look something different.
– Crop tops with floral print long skirts are trending now a days. According to designer Anurag K, “Floral prints give a vintage English era feel and teaming it up with a colourful festival like Navratri creates a wonderful dramatic effect. This year, florals are in vogue on corsets, dupattas, chaniyas. While men won’t flaunt big bold floral prints, theirs will be smaller, subtler leaf and flower prints.” So this year, garba grounds will be strewn with flowers – almost literally!
– As for men’s fashion, traditional wear for men at Dandiya nights is Kafni bottoms and Kediyu. If you have a muscular body like that of Ranvir Singh you can flaunt 6 packs wearing a kediyu like him (In Ram Leela) with a pair of jeans. You could also experiment with fancy turbans.
If Kediyu and Kafni are too traditional for your style, you can opt wearing colorful raw silk or cotton kurtas with fancy buttons with chudidar bottoms, to make it dressy team it with a bandhani dupatta around your neck or tied to your waist. An ethnic jacket or Nehru jacket could also transform your look from simple to dressy. Short or knee length kurta could also be fusion-ed along with dhoti pants.
